Good causes money available now from affordable housing provider for community projects in Aylesbury Vale and beyond

AUGUST 11TH 2022. FOR IMMEDIATE ISSUE

A quarter-of-a-million pounds from affordable housing provider Fairhive Homes are available to residents and community groups in the Aylesbury Vale area and beyond - just waiting to be applied for.

Fairhive Homes, operates three charitable schemes under its Thriving Communities banner – and the company is keen that the money benefits as many residents, community and charitable groups in the county as possible.

There are three ways money can be applied for:

1 – Springboard. Some £300 per Fairhive Homes resident per year (of any age) is available, for such activities as driving lessons, fitness and wellbeing courses, educational or sporting resources or lessons, etc.

2 – Microgrants. £3,000 per project per year is available to be claimed for a more major activity, like a team sporting kit, sports equipment, hall hire, community meeting place renewal/refurbishment, community group vehicle purchase, etc.

3 – Project grants. These are grants of £10,000 per project per year. Often these are claimed for major building refurbishment, sports pitch renewal, specialist new equipment, support costs of key staff, etc.

Helen Wells, Fairhive Homes’ Grants Officer, said: “In terms of ideas, people can really use their imagination. Anything that enhances the lives of an individual or group of people in the Aylesbury Vale area and beyond will be considered by us. Quite simply, for activities that gets the community together and active, doing something that they will all benefit from, then this money is there for them.”
