Fairhive donates to local food banks to help the community
JUNE 8TH 2022. FOR IMMEDIATE ISSUE
Whilst everyone is very much aware of the recent increases in the cost of living, the most vulnerable in society face massive hardships – so Fairhive Homes has stepped up to help.
This year, with households facing a steep hike in energy bills, daily increases in fuel and food prices people are feeling the pinch.
Through the housing provider’s Thriving Communities Fund, Fairhive Homes has contributed nearly £90,000 to local foodbanks and charities across Buckinghamshire and South Northamptonshire, providing much needed resources.
Kate Ayala, Fairhive Homes Communications and Communities Manager, said: “We have a responsibility to provide homes for those most in need and we’re equally committed about helping communities in neighbourhoods our residents live.
“We felt it was important to support those struggling during this difficult time, and donating to local foodbanks and charities seemed a good way to achieve that.”
Fairhive Homes’ Thriving Communities fund has £250,000 per year for Fairhive residents as well as voluntary and community organisations which operate within the areas where residents live. The fund supports a wide variety of cultural, sporting and social activities, for those most in need.
