Reconnecting with you at our Resident Fun Day!
We had a brilliant day with residents at our Reconnect Resident Fun Day.
For our first large resident event since the pandemic, The Bucks Railway Centre was the perfect venue with plenty of activities and space to explore. It hosted a free family day out with steam train journeys running all day, a mini railway to enjoy, a museum and of course our team at various interactive stands to chat too.
Our residents entered the event under a beautiful balloon arch, courtesy of Ballooning Wonderful, and were greeted by our teams in the main hall. The venue was a great spot for a day out and offered several pla
ces to explore throughout the day. Loraso Ice Cream was handing out delicious free treats to everyone, complimentary as part of the event, and DJ Dan Blaze went down very well with families, keeping the kids entertained for hours!
We had our ‘Grow With Us’ stand, which proved very popular, and was run by two of our fantastic caretakers, Roger and Ed. Residents planted flower and vegetable seeds in various sizes of pots to take home and they had the oppourtunity to build a bug hotel or bird house. These garden structures were assembled by the caretakers ahead of the Fun Day and prepared as flat pack kits – a great way for attendees to get involved with some DIY and help nurture wildlife in their gardens or communal spaces.
A special thank you goes to everyone who made the event possible and our team members from across Fairhive who helped on the day with interactive stalls for Welfare support, Grants advice, booking repairs, Resident Involvement and many more.
